What you'll need to drive in St Lucia

All drivers need a valid Driver's License from their country of residence.

  • Visitor's Driving Permit which we are able to issue to any customer who requires a permit. 
  • Contact information for your stay in St Lucia
  • A completed and signed rental contract/agreement
  • Optional Extra Protection Waiver or Collision Damage Waiver

Your License

Drivers must be 25 years of age or older and must have had a valid driver's license for over three years issued in the renter's country of residence.

Local Driver Permit

A local permit is mandatory for all non- OECS residents. Each permit cost USD$21.00 and is valid for three months. If you are staying for more than three months in Saint Lucia, you can renew your permit easily. 

Insurance

All our vehicles are insured and cover passengers and third-party accidents, with liability coverage. 

Extra Protection Waiver (EPW) or Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

The optional Extra Protection Waiver (EPW) or Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is available and recommended to all customers at USD$15.00 per day.

Please note that EPW is not insurance, but a simple waiver that reduces your liability. Liability Ranges from USD$2,000 to USD$500.00 if the vehicle is operated as stated in the rental agreement. 

If you decide not to opt for the EPW, the customer / hirer is liable for all costs associated with the vehicle caused by negligence, accidents, theft, fire, or water regardless of who is at fault. 

Payment 

We accept the following payment methods: VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club or cash. Advance payment required. 


 

Cancellations

All cancellations made after you've picked up a vehicle will incur a 50% charge on the balance due for the remainder of the rental period.

Late charges

Late returns will incur a charge of USD $10 after the first hour. However, the customer / hirer will be charged for a full day if the customer / hirer is two or more hours late in returning the vehicle.

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers can be added free of charge. 

Other Charges

Any other additional charges are based on customer/hirer requests or any 'add-on's' that you apply when you make your reservation.

A minimum fee of USD$50.00 will be applied if the vehicle returned needs extensive cleaning due to smoking, liquid stains, or any other residue.

Gas/petrol and baby seats are extra charges that may be added to your bill.
